This is a parenting ministry, and church, with a unique twist. At PInelake church, they focus on parenting and the development of a “theology of parenting”. The Family Ministry at Pinelake is focusing on helping parents to be the spiritual trainers for the children that God has entrusted to them.
The goal of their ministry is achieved through Parent Connection classes. They are offered to help parents learn and put into practice Biblical instructions. One important focus is prayer and making God a regular part of life and instruction; for God to be in every waking minute and just a natural part of parenting. As their site says, “to talk about God as you sit at home… walk along the road…lie down and get up with your children”.
Parent Connection classes are offered at various times through the year. Classes cover a variety of topics pertinent to many needs and special groups such as the spiritual growth of children, parenting in blended families, parenting for expecting families, spiritual mentoring for teens and more.
